Interim Head of Mechanical Design

Main duties:

• Manage and be responsible for a team of mechanical design engineers.
• Ensure proper resource allocation and capacity planning in projects.
• Plan, delegate and follow up on tasks on an ongoing basis.
• Overall responsibility for drawing flows and version management.
• Drive structure, order and processes for documentation and drawings.
• Act as a link between project management, production and the customer on technical issues.

To be eligible for the role:

• Many years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in a management position.
• Good knowledge of 3D planning and CAD, preferably Autodesk.
• Proven track record in driving process improvement and quality assurance.
• Leadership skills with experience in coaching and developing designers.
• An engineering degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent would be an advantage.

About the process:

The assignment starts immediately, is for 100 % and is expected to last approximately 12 months.

We will present candidates during week 35, and interviews with the client will take place shortly thereafter.
