Interim Search has been entrusted with the appointment of an interim Operations Manager for an e-commerce company based in Sala. The company has a turnover of about 6 billion and has about 1000 employees.

Working as an Operations Manager means an overall responsibility for the daily production in packing and picking as well as responsibility for planning and distributing the daily work of the staff so that deadlines and quality requirements are met. Rapid changes, agile way of working. Quickly adjust in production. In the role you report to the Logistics Manager and as Operations Manager you have 4-6 directly reporting group managers, each group manager has about 25 employees under them.

 

Main duties:

  • Ensure that production in pick and pack and follow set procedures and keep departure times.
  • Plan and allocate daily work in production. Provide clear instructions and expectations to staff during their shifts.
  • Personnel responsibility for the staff working on pick/pack (production) during the current shift. Setting targets and KPIs, monitoring performance and further developing staff.
  • Ensuring that staff perform their tasks correctly, quickly and with high quality.
  • Manage and coach team leaders so that they are equipped to lead and allocate work management, but without personal responsibility.
  • Communicate goals, outcomes and deviations to managers and employees
  • Ensure that all staff have the best possible conditions to do their job, such as information, training, follow-up, procedures and instructions.
  • Ensure that staff have the right tools to do the job.
  • Plan and further develop production together with other managers for increased efficiency, quality and safety, e.g. new working methods, processes, procedures and tools.
  • Ensure that it is a safe and secure workplace. Actively work for a good workplace that complies with laws and regulations, a positive culture and that the work is carried out according to Apotea's guidelines and rules of procedure.
  • Monitor and evaluate KPIs.

 

To be eligible for the role:

  • Several years of experience in managing large teams, as well as experience in managing other managers. Experience in handling personnel matters.
  • Previous work experience in operational activities, preferably in logistics, warehousing or transportation.
  • Experience in systematic work environment management.
  • Swedish & English.
  • Technical understanding and good system knowledge.
