Interim Category Manager Purchasing & Pricing

In your role as Category Manager (Purchasing & Pricing), we are looking for you with solid experience from Retail (Grocery or related industry) where you will lead negotiations for relevant categories, negotiate and put contractual terms and prices in place within the category e.g. electronics. By identifying, developing and implementing the necessary processes, you will contribute to improving sales performance.

Main duties:

• Leading negotiations for relevant categories, negotiating and putting contractual terms in place.
• Making the choice of supplier best suited to the long-term development and risk of the category's total cost of ownership (TCO)
• Meet the savings targets for the category and be the pricing expert in the area to other interfaces within the company.
• Monitor trends in the category and identify best practices and contribute to relevant pricing for the channel.
• Generate insights and commercialize facts to create the best conditions for our sales channels.

To be eligible for the role, you have:

• Proven ability to develop categories and effectively communicate recommendations to management.
• At least 7-10 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing (Purchasing & Buying)
• Solid experience in Retail, B2B, E-commerce.
• Experience in direct purchasing and price negotiations as well as communicating with colleagues and tactical buyers.
• Strategic thinking, strong analytical skills and commercial understanding.
• Strong ability to transform data into insight and to turn insight into action.
• Academic degree or equivalent.

About the process:

The assignment is expected to last for approximately 6-8 months, starting immediately. The deadline for applications is November 14.
