Interim Search has been entrusted with the appointment of an Interim Category Manager - CapEx at one of Sweden's largest companies in the construction industry.
Main responsibilities and duties:
- As this is a new role, you will be responsible for building and leading the team within the CapEx category.
- Responsible for the development of a 3-year strategy for the category, its implementation and ensuring execution, governance and compliance.
- You will work both strategically and tactically.
- With a holistic approach, you are expected to challenge existing suppliers to possibly find better and more sustainable alternatives with a focus on plant and machinery.
- You will lead negotiations with existing and new suppliers.
- You will be responsible for communicating and following up the strategy within the category with internal and external stakeholders.
- You will be responsible for evaluating the business value, risks and success of the strategy using data-driven insights.
To be eligible for the role:
- Relevant education, such as Economics, Industrial Economics or Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience from a previous Category Manager role, preferably from CapEx
- You are a strong informal leader and a doer.
- Experience of working cross-functionally or in a matrix organization is an advantage.
- You are an excellent negotiator.
- You are outgoing and creative, basing your decisions on facts.
