Interim Business Area Manager

Interim Search is looking for someone who is passionate about assortment and purchasing with solid experience in trade with Asia!

As Interim Business Area Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that the business area develops an attractive and profitable assortment that is positioned in accordance with the business plan, thereby ensuring profitable and competitive categories. Both strategic assortment development and continuous improvement of the existing assortment are part of your daily work. You will be involved in campaign planning and of course constantly monitor what is happening in the market.

Overall responsibility:

• that the team's categories are attractive from a consumer perspective
• that the categories and subordinate category managers achieve set targets for sales and margin development, as well as the business area's total inventory development.
• negotiations within the team
• that assortment/shelf placement within the team is optimal
• counteract sub-optimization in the business area
• the campaign process is managed by the team according to the strategy in place
• prioritizing activities within the team
• that all record keeping in the team reaches the set targets
• the stock turnover rate and service level of the team
• all products comply with applicable product and environmental liability requirements
• that the team is market-oriented

Qualifications:

You have at least 5 years of documented experience in Category Management and Purchasing, of which at least 3 can demonstrate documented experience in sourcing from Asia.

You will also need experience working with CSR as a focus area in purchasing and category management.

You as a person are strongly result- and business-oriented and have a keen interest and sense of what is commercially viable. You are a skilled negotiator and have experience in international cooperation and business, as most of the purchases are made in Europe and Asia. You have an understanding of the efficient flow of goods.

You are a confident and down-to-earth person with good coaching leadership skills and good collaboration skills. To succeed in the role of Interim Business Area Manager, it is important that you create commitment and job satisfaction. You must be able to convey messages and information in a simple and clear way and have good pedagogical and communication skills.

About the process: 

We will present candidates on a rolling basis. The assignment will start as soon as possible, but no later than April and is expected to last throughout the year. Interviews will take place on an ongoing basis starting April 7 in Stockholm.
