Interim Commercial Director – Energy & Infrastructure
Interim Search has been entrusted with appointing an interim Commercial Director to a company that needs to strengthen its commercial development in the energy and infrastructure sector. In this role, you will be responsible for the commercial structure and business acumen within the company’s project and program portfolio.
You will play a key role in developing sustainable business models, leading negotiations, and ensuring the commercial conditions necessary for profitability and investment decisions.
Main duties
- Drive commercial development within the project and program portfolio
- Develop business models, revenue structures, and commercial arrangements
- Lead negotiations on customer agreements and partnerships
- Ensure the quality of business cases, profitability analyses, and investment proposals
- Identify and Manage Commercial Risks
- Build relationships with customers, investors, government agencies, and business partners
- Lead and develop the commercial organization
- Report on commercial status, risks, and opportunities to management and the board of directors
To be eligible for the role
- A university degree in economics, law, engineering, or a related field
- At least 10 years of experience in the energy or infrastructure sector
- Experience with contract negotiations and major client agreements
- Ability to manage complex customer and regulatory interfaces
- Strong analytical and commercial skills
About the Assignment and the Process
