Interim Business Area Manager
Interim Search has been entrusted with appointing an interim Business Unit Manager for a major organization in southeastern Sweden. As Business Area Manager, you will have full P&L responsibility for your units and will support and coach subordinate managers to ensure they succeed in their respective areas of responsibility. A hands-on leadership role during a period of change.
Main duties:
- Be responsible for the budget and cost control, and contribute toward economic efficiency and cost awareness
- Overall responsibility for results and business development with customers, suppliers, and partners
- Create the conditions for engaged and effective leadership within the organization, where—with full responsibility for personnel—you support your managers in monitoring and development
- Quality monitoring and contract compliance with customers, clients, and suppliers
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators and take action in the event of deviations
- Support managers in their day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with quality, workplace environment, and safety standards, and ensure that day-to-day operations run as smoothly as possible
- Initiate and lead improvement and development projects
To be eligible for the role:
- Experience in operational leadership; experience in the transportation industry or with heavy-duty vehicles is a plus
- Experience with full responsibility for personnel, both directly and indirectly, as well as extensive experience with change management
- Experience working with budgets and financial reporting, and experience having full P&L responsibility within one's area of responsibility,
- A strong communicator with the ability to build trust both internally and externally
- A clear and engaging leader with the ability to inspire and develop other managers, who is solution-oriented in a dynamic organization
- A strong understanding of customer focus and quality management, as well as vbe able to work with workplace health and safety issues
- Post-secondary education or documented experience in financial monitoring and a solid understanding of P&L and performance monitoring
- Preferably residing in southeastern Sweden, as the position will require frequent on-site work, as well as a driver's license and a car
