Interim Search has been commissioned to appoint an Interim Technical Project Manager to a company in the financial sector that has been running a large and critical project for several years, moving from mainframe technology to modern technology with .NET. The project involves around 30 individuals with a budget of approximately SEK 100 million.
As Interim Technical Project Manager, you will have primary responsibility for completing this multi-year project. You will report to the Head of Development and CEO of the main subsidiary, working closely with the relevant development teams.
Main duties
- Overall responsibility for ensuring that the project delivers a quality-assured launch in April 2026
- Engage and motivate stakeholders with a focus on delivery to steer the project toward its goal.
- Close collaboration with senior developers, test managers, and business/operations managers (product managers)
- Ensure that test plans are sufficiently risk-assessed and complete to provide a clear overview of progress.
- Ensure that tests are carried out and that bug fixes are evaluated against requirements, and involve and challenge defined requirements.
- Involved and ensuring conditions/counter-requirements for both POs and those responsible for operations in order to move forward.
Who we are looking for:
- You are a technical project manager with extensive experience of completing projects that have faced challenges in reaching their goals.
- You have solid experience working closely with stakeholders such as PO's and business managers.
- You are a very good communicator and a strong finisher and requirement setter with a focus on delivery.
- You have a strong ability to work closely with relevant development teams and senior developers to understand challenges and effectively resolve obstacles to progress.
- You are a leader who easily motivates and inspires the organization.
- You have extensive experience of regulatory-controlled operations.
- You are well versed in both classic project management models and SAFe/Scrum.
- You have an understanding of and experience in ensuring that test plans are sufficiently risk-assessed and complete.
- You ensure that tests are carried out and that bug fixes are evaluated against requirements in a pragmatic manner.
- Experience in banking/insurance is an advantage.
About the process
The assignment is 100% of Full-time. Start date January 5, and the assignment is expected to last for 6 months.
