Interim Search has been entrusted with appointing an Interim Maintenance Manager to one of Europe's largest automotive manufacturing companies, where you will have the opportunity to help create a world-class maintenance department.
Main duties:
- Lead, develop, and inspire a maintenance team of approximately 50 people toward the goal of a world-class maintenance organization in maintenance and real estate.
- Ensure the highest possible availability and operational reliability in a complex and automated production environment.
- Drive improvement initiatives in preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance.
- Establish and follow up on long-term maintenance and safety plans.
- Ensure that properties and technical systems comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and environmental and safety requirements.
- Responsible for systematic fire protection work (SBA), risk assessments, and safety procedures.
- Initiate and follow up on safety inspections, self-inspections, and official inspections.
- Work proactively to identify and address potential security risks.
- Plan and follow up on repairs, renovations, and new construction with a focus on safety and the work environment.
- Procure and follow up agreements with external suppliers and contractors.
- Responsible for budgeting, cost monitoring, and investments in the real estate sector.
- Report to management and suggest improvements in both maintenance and safety.
To be eligible for the role:
- Several years of experience (+10 years) in a senior position in industrial maintenance in the automotive, manufacturing, or process industry.
- Technical education at secondary or higher education level, with a relevant specialization.
- Accustomed to working in an automated environment and driving technological development.
- Good knowledge of maintenance systems and preferably experience of digitization, AI-based maintenance, or predictive analysis.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to create structure, clarity, and commitment, as well as a strong track record of leading through other leaders.
