Interim Head of Department

Main duties

• Lead and develop the energy work of the organization for a limited period of time.
• Both strategic and operational responsibility for the energy business, focusing on production and cost optimization and sustainability initiatives.
• Review of energy production, distribution, maintenance planning and cost optimization to ensure a sustainable and efficient energy solution.
• The role reports to the CEO and is part of the management team.

To be eligible for the role:

• Relevant education in energy, engineering or similar.
• At least 10 years of experience in the energy sector, preferably with a focus on district heating.
• Experienced and confident leader with an ability to drive change.
• Thorough knowledge of energy laws, regulations and standards.
• Experience in district heating production and its technical and economic aspects.
• Strong business and analytical skills with many years of experience in negotiations.
• Experience in municipal operations.

About the process:

The assignment starts in early May, covers approximately 80% and is expected to last approximately 18 months. Location is in Kiruna and the consultant is expected to be on site as much as possible. We will present candidates on April 29th and interviews with the client will take place in connection with that.
