Interim Head of Compliance

Main duties:

• Responsible for a team of 5 people and reports to the Head of Legal. You are a member of the Legal management team.
• Lead and develop the team and develop processes to support operations and manage risks
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective and practical compliance programs, work processes, and activities in accordance with corporate and legal requirements
• The main focus is on data protection, anti-corruption, fair competition, export control and trade sanctions, as well as other issues related to the code of conduct.
• Conduct risk assessments, performance monitoring, and reporting. Conduct legal research and provide relevant advice. Oversee external advisors.
• Establish and maintain effective and efficient internal reporting systems, compliance investigations, and whistleblower procedures
• Monitor compliance with legal requirements and internal company policies regarding personal data protection, including division of responsibilities, awareness raising, staff training, and related audits.
• Cooperate with data protection supervisory authorities. Act as a point of contact for supervisory authorities on issues relating to data processing, including prior consultations under the GDPR.

To be eligible for the role, you should have:

• Experience from a large corporation and in an international environment
• Experience of stock exchange
• Leadership experience
• Legal, data protection, compliance, and ethics (particularly in anti-corruption, trade sanctions, and data protection).
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance and law
• Experience in anti-corruption, trade sanctions (or trade compliance), competition law, and data protection law
• Good business acumen
• University degree in law or equivalent
• Fluent English

About the process:

The assignment is expected to run from September 2025 for a period of six months.

We will present candidates to the client on April 22, and interviews with the client will take place on an ongoing basis thereafter.
