Interim Search has been entrusted with the appointment of an Interim Senior Education and Labor Market Consultant to a public organization in Södermanland.

 

Background

For about 20 years, adult education and labor market issues have been handled by a joint board and administration. From the turn of the year, the activities will be conducted in-house and/or via procured services with another operator. The municipal board has a committee (UVA), the committee for adult education and labor market issues. The committee is responsible for political decisions during the transition and will manage, lead and make political decisions when the business is run in-house from the turn of the year.

The new activity is likely to be organized within the municipal management administration and led by the deputy municipal director/HR manager and/or municipal director. The client is therefore now looking for a consultant who can lead the transition work and be the responsible official in connection with the preparations and to lead the work on the start-up of the activities in adult education and labor market.

 

To be eligible for the role:

  • Required higher education as deemed appropriate by the contracting authority.
  • Managerial and leadership experience and governmental training for principals.
  • Experience in transition and development work.
  • Experience in adult education and labor market issues.
  • Experience of working with/against political bodies and experience of working with relevant authorities such as the Swedish National Agency for Education, the Swedish Public Employment Service and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency.
  • Good knowledge of IT systems related to labor market and adult education.
  • Experience in independently conducted public procurement.
  • Experience in recruitment and staffing.

 

About the assignment

The assignment is expected to start on September 1st, is part-time (40-50%) and is expected to last at least 6 months with the possibility of extension.
