Interim Search has been commissioned to appoint an Interim Chief Product Officer (job ID: 3668) to a global manufacturing group with a turnover of billions.
The Group has a strong presence in the market, where the customer segment consists primarily of large companies operating in the engineering industry. The company strives to offer quality products and to create strong, long-term relationships with customers around the world. In the role of CPO, you will have a business-critical responsibility for ensuring that the company's products are successfully sold on the market. This role involves a high degree of leadership and strategic thinking, and the person must be able to balance sales targets with product strategy while ensuring that the team is engaged and productive.
Main responsibilities:
- Act as leader of the international product organization consisting of ten Sales and Product Managers. Motivate, coach, and develop the team, including by designing incentive programs. Use your initiative to drive the business forward strategically and act as a reliable sounding board for employees.
- Work proactively to develop the Group's overall business strategy. Explore and evaluate new business opportunities. Through market analysis, strategically steer the organization in terms of where marketing efforts should be focused.
- Monitor and follow up on sales activities in CRM systems, analyze sales data, evaluate results, and identify areas for improvement. Ensure that budget targets are met.
- Participate in developing the product portfolio to ensure that it is competitive and meets customer needs.
- Report to the Group CEO (based in Stockholm).
To be eligible for the role, you have/are:
- Experience in a similar role with proven results.
- A competent leader who has previously successfully led and developed international sales teams.
- A proactive person with a strategic mindset. You should have the ability to drive the business forward and identify growth opportunities.
- Technical background, such as engineering education or similar, is advantageous.
About the process:
The assignment will start as soon as possible, is full-time, and is expected to last for at least six months, with the possibility of extension. The location of the assignment is flexible, preferably at the company's headquarters in Stockholm, but can also be carried out largely from home. Travel may be required. Candidates will be presented on an ongoing basis and interviews with the client company will be conducted shortly thereafter.
