Interim Head of Operations
Interim Search has been commissioned to appoint an Interim Work Manager to a construction company active in the construction industry. The position is located in Uppsala.
The purpose of the assignment is to be responsible for the areas usually included in the role, as well as to act as a mentor/teacher for the Deputy Head of Work already in the organization. The Deputy Head of Work is a younger talent that the company has recently decided to promote to train for the position. The plan is that, at the end of the assignment, the apprentice will have acquired the knowledge and skills required to independently assume the role of Head of Works.
Main tasks/responsibilities:
- Responsible for the profitability of projects by ensuring that the established budget and plans are executed.
- Ensure that production is carried out according to the project plan. Ensure that resources and the right skills are available to implement the project.
- Developing and setting up the strategy and action plan to achieve the set objectives.
- Organize activities so that employees have clear responsibilities with the associated skills and authority within each function.
- Market and tender monitoring responsibilities.
- Be part of the company's management team.
- Health and safety responsibility and staff responsibility over site/project managers.
- Act as a mentor and manager for the younger talent.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience of working in the role of Works Manager/Regional Manager/Business Area Manager or similar in a company in the construction/building industry.
- Good knowledge of construction law, EIA construction and project economics.
- A communicative and structured personality with excellent leadership skills.
- Knowledge of Uppsala as a region is an advantage.
About the process:
The assignment is scheduled to start after the August holidays, is full-time and is expected to last approximately 12 months. Location is on site in Uppsala. Presentation of candidates is ongoing and interview with the client company is conducted in close connection.
