Jan grew up in Jönköping and started working at a young age in manufacturing companies in the Gnosjö region. He trained as an engineer and worked his way up to factory manager with responsibility as operational production manager for delivery, quality, personnel, maintenance, and production technology. He was headhunted as production technology manager for a large vehicle manufacturer and subsequently became CEO of an engineering company before deciding to work as an interim consultant eight years ago. He has been hired by a number of companies (twelve to be exact) in roles such as production manager, quality manager, and change manager. The common denominator in all of these assignments has been an ambition to increase efficiency and profitability, personnel responsibility, and implement various initiatives, such as introducing LEAN.
