Jakob works best in CFO roles that involve greater staff responsibility, which is what permeates his 20-year career. After a quick career as business controller -> controller manager -> CFO, he became manager of a Shared Service Center with 40 subordinates of which 6 were direct reports. He was then offered a CFO role within the same group with responsibility for finance, logistics and purchasing. After a number of years of intensive travel in the service, he chose to resign to become an interim consultant when he finished his MBA. He has now been hired for four assignments as interim CFO with responsibility for between five and 20 employees and a given place in the management team.
Jakob has worked exclusively in the service sector and prefers to work in international companies. He is an unusually clear profile for assignments where the challenges are both structural and linked to personnel issues. He thrives best in operations with a strong commercial focus and would love to have a CFO assignment where HR is also included.
