The Runsven Group has been conducting retail operations in Sweden since 1948; it has a service office in Skänninge, 1,800 employees, and annual revenue of approximately 4.1 billion kronor. Supply chain management, purchasing, and logistics are handled by Runsven AB. Marketing and sales are primarily managed through the ÖoB retail chain. The company is experiencing strong growth and currently operates over 100 department stores throughout the country.
About the role
As a Space Manager, you’ll work with visual merchandising and communications, and you’ll be responsible for building and developing strategy, the customer experience, and communications across the ÖoB retail chain.
Strategy
- Quick-thinking and savvy consumers are placing increasing demands on the industry—a trend that the Runsvens Group wants to be at the forefront of. Your role will involve in-depth strategic work to ensure that the Runsvens Group remains the market leader in its niche well into the future.
Experience
- Your role is to strengthen and clarify the store concept by optimizing the product assortment, placement, and in-store display in order to drive sales.
- You are also responsible for developing and documenting strategies and principles to foster a positive customer experience.
Communication
- Your task is to understand what it will take for the Runsvens Group to gain more satisfied customers through product information and sales pitches, by developing the necessary materials.
- You should be able to develop, write, and document strategies and principles to help others understand the guidelines that form the basis for implementation in the stores.
Who we are looking for
- Experience in retail and similar roles.
- Experience in visual merchandising and sales management.
- Organized, analytical, creative, and proactive.
- Commercial: Drive the business toward greater profitability.
- Proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
About the assignment
- Start date: as soon as possible.
- Duration of the assignment: five months, through October 2015.
- Employment status: full-time.
- Location: headquarters in Skänninge 3 days a week (Tuesday–Thursday), 2 days of distance learning.
- Accommodations: a room at the city hotel.
