Interim Search makes further key recruitment
Johan Nyberg is Interim Search's latest addition. He will work in the role of Director/Recruitment Consultant and brings with him over 20 years of experience in executive recruitment. Johan founded the Nordic recruitment company Sale Search, which was sold to the American Hudson, where he later became CEO. This was followed by 10 years in the role of Partner at Amrop Sweden before becoming Senior Client Partner at Korn Ferry. Johan comes most recently from the role of Partner at Cohr Group where the focus has been to evaluate managers. We talked to Johan about his choice to join us at Interim Search and how he sees his new role.
Why do you want to work in interim recruitment, Johan?
I see myself as both an executive recruiter and an entrepreneur. This means that it is quite close to my heart to evaluate the trends of the time and what I think the market needs for services in the future. Interim Management is a fantastic tool for decision-makers and business leaders to effectively manage and develop their businesses. The interim sector itself is evolving - I want to be part of that journey! Moreover, the process of appointing an interim consultant very time-sensitive, which of course means that the supplier must act quickly to meet the customer's needs. This approach, working on both speed and quality, suits me perfectly!

And why have you applied to Interim Search?
I enjoyed my time at Cohr Group very much, but my curiosity about interim has grown over quite a few years. I have followed Interim Search and know the people in the company and have been impressed by how they have managed to grow strongly since the start. So after asking the founders lots of questions about it, I realized - this is where I want to work!
How does what you worked on before differ from your new role?
Speed is probably the parameter that differs most. Customers in need of a interim solution are in a situation where we need to deliver immediately. The fact that Interim Search over the years has built up an incredibly large network of professional consultants in combination with good system support enables fast deliveries. I am used to delivering with great expectations from my customers and to now deliver the same quality but under time pressure will be a very fun and interesting challenge for me personally!

What do you think about the timing of starting at this time?
I think it is extremely good! Interim consultants are a very good tool for managing crisis situations and quickly bringing in a safe, experienced resource that is partly quick on the uptake and partly has a calming effect on the organization. In turbulent times, clients also need these people in place immediately, which fits very well with Interim Search's model.
