Interim Distribution Manager

Main duties: 

• Drive and develop a solvent and competitive delivery offer with high quality and customer care.
• Responsible for the operation and distribution of 2 units in the Stockholm area with approximately 560 employees.
• Responsible for 6 direct reports in a management team. Operations Managers (3) and their Supervisors (10) as well as staffing function, Workshop and Yard Manager.
• You will report to the Head of Logistics ÖST (currently vacant, until filled you will report to the COO)
• Responsible for the budget and activity plan.
• Responsible for planning and forecasting as well as demand management of distribution networks for maximum and continuous optimization.
• Establishment of long-term recruitment and staffing plan together with HR.
• Ensure good collaborative and subcontracting relationships and commercial supplier agreements (e.g. in staffing and linehaul).
• Develop and optimize working methods and procedures within the company.
• Liaise with other functions in the company such as Product, Warehouse, Distribution Development and Traffic Management.
• Responsible for safety and health at work.

To be eligible for the role, you have:

• Probably Academic degree in relevant field or equivalent.
• Experience in the warehouse, transportation and/or food industry.
• Experience in negotiation, contracts and supplier work.
• Experience in working with elected representatives.
• At least 5 years of management experience with staff and budget responsibilities.
• Experience in health and safety management.
• Knowledge of relevant labor law and collective agreements.
• Previous experience and knowledge of Lean and improvement work is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of the Office package.
• Fluent in spoken and written Swedish.
• Very good knowledge of English.

About the process:

The assignment starts on October 1 and is expected to last for 5 months. We present candidates on an ongoing basis and interviews with the client company take place the following days.
