Interim Senior Business Controller

Main tasks:

• Management team member of the division function
  • Proactively drive the development and management of business control and performance management within the division function.
  • Provide strong support and advise on strategy development and execution to enable successful and data-driven decision making.
  • Consolidate and track the performance of execution plans and assist in prioritizing actions to ensure development in the right direction and pace, supporting good alignment with the divisions overall.
• Business controlling and performance management
  • Create an overview of the division's total performance through analysis of the income statement and balance sheet, as well as monitoring and developing relevant KPIs, reporting, and communication.
  • Drive net working capital efficiency and cost efficiency for increased competitiveness.
  • Provide in-depth analyses of focus areas as required to support stakeholders and optimize the performance of the division function. Support profitability analysis.
  • Monitor the performance of larger execution plans or investment projects as a steering group representative.
• Financial reporting and budgeting
  • Consolidate, report, and present monthly financial results for the areas of the division function's responsibility (early indicators as well as actuals) for production units and staff functions.
  • Ensure completeness, correctness, and alignment with the global divisions' reporting.
  • Drive improvements in both reporting and forecasting accuracy.
  • Drive the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes within the division unit
• Leading the division function's controller community
  • Drive development of common financial processes to provide fast, automated, and business performance analysis of past, present, and future trends, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Provide guidelines and definitions to ensure comparable benchmarking.
  • Drive finance and controlling competence within the division function through guidelines, training, network development, and best practice sharing.
  • Develop the division function’s controlling organization. Support talent and succession planning, recruitment, and onboarding of new controllers.

To be relevant for the role:

• You have +7 years’ experience in business controlling and/or accounting
• You have experience from international manufacturing industry and intercultural work environments.
• You have general finance training and solid experience in production accounting.
• You have strong analytical skills
• You have strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• You are highly structured and have a process focus
• You possess thorough knowledge of financial principles, rules, and processes (financial, production, and inventory accounting).
• You have a high level of IT literacy and consistently strive for higher degrees of digitalization and automation.
• You have advanced skills in large ERP systems and MS tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• You are fluent in English (written and verbal)
