Interim Search has been entrusted with appointing an interim Accounting Manager to a retail company based in Västra Götaland.
Main duties:
- Overall responsibility for accounting in four Norwegian subsidiaries.
- Ongoing accounting and balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with Norwegian regulations.
- Responsibility for VAT reporting and contacts with authorities (such as Altinn).
- Independently manage and administer Norwegian salaries (hourly and monthly employees).
- Act as a contact person for Norwegian auditors and external parties.
- Work in business systems (training provided if needed).
- Contribute to the development of effective processes and flows within accounting and reporting.
To be eligible for the role:
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting in an independent role.
- Documented experience of accounting in accordance with Norwegian regulations.
- Knowledge of Norwegian payroll management (including A-melding, holiday pay, OTP).
- Understanding of VAT and Norwegian regulations for reporting to authorities.
- Good system skills – experience with business systems is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Excel.
- Fluent Swedish and Norwegian; good spoken and written English.
- Personal characteristics: Structured, responsible, self-motivated, unpretentious, and meticulous.
About the process:
The assignment is to start immediately, covers 100% and is expected to last for 6 months. The assignment will be carried out on site in Västra Götaland, or remotely, and we will present candidates to the client during week 47.
