Interim Product Development Manager

Main duties

• Lead and develop the product development team of approximately 25 people.
• You will report to the company's CEO and be part of the company's management team.
• You will have overall responsibility for leading development initiatives from concept to launch, where quality, design, and function are of paramount importance.
• Responsible for establishing and developing partnerships with external industrial designers to remain at the forefront of form and design.
• Develop and streamline existing and new products through VA/VE work.
• Ensure that products comply with standards and EU requirements (CE marking, eco-design, energy efficiency).
• Work closely with production, purchasing, marketing, and sales.
• Follow trends and technological innovations in the heating and biofuel industry.
• Set requirements for suppliers and partners.

To be eligible for the role

• Do you have a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, energy, or equivalent?.
• Do you have several years of experience in product development, preferably in heating, ventilation, or household products?.
• Do you have previous experience of leadership and project management, as well as a good technical understanding of material selection, combustion technology, and sustainability requirements?.
• A structured approach to work, strong drive, and a keen interest in innovation

About the assignment
