Our client for this assignment is a world leader and manufactures innovative products for public and private sector clients on every continent. A Swedish company with a global focus and nearly 60 years of experience in delivering high-quality products and distributing to more than 75 countries. Turnover approx. 2 billion and approx. 1,100 employees. The company is growing rapidly and, in connection with this growth and acquisitions, we are now looking for an M&A Analyst with flexible location in Sweden. (Stockholm, Uppsala, Gothenburg, Malmö)
Main tasks:
- Create, evaluate, and modify financial models to analyze historical earnings of potential acquisition candidates.
- Create, evaluate, and modify forecast models to examine future earnings, potential synergies, and conduct scenario assessments of potential acquisition candidates.
- Ensure that models developed for evaluating potential acquisition candidates can present results in an easily understandable and convincing manner prior to decisions.
- In-depth analysis of acquisition candidate(s) in relation to region, country, product at all levels in both P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Analyze acquisition candidates in relation to the Group's earnings, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Create and perform ad hoc analyses as needed.
- Due Diligence: Participate in the work of conducting due diligence on acquisition candidates, primarily in relation to financial analysis, but also in relation to system support and the acquisition candidate's capacity to be integrated into the company's consolidated reporting.
- Be primarily responsible for the financial and tax due diligence carried out by external parties.
- Ensure transfer of data from analyses and due diligence to Group Finance.
- Assist in the preparation of various documents in connection with signing and/or closing, including the final balance sheet for, among other things, the implementation of the PPA.
- Be involved in the M&A Team's development of processes and governance, and be responsible for the M&A Team's and the Group's M&A costs and follow-up thereof.
- Conduct market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comparisons for future markets and/or acquisition candidates.
- The role will involve traveling, both alone and with colleagues, to potential acquisition candidates.
To be eligible for the role, you must:
- Bachelor's degree in economics and strong analytical skills.
- The position requires at least 5-7 years of previous experience in business analysis and 3-5 years of experience in M&A.
- You have previous experience of reviewing companies, financial statements, and large amounts of data, and have drawn conclusions and made recommendations based on analysis.
- Very good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, and fluent in Swedish and English.
- Strong analytical skills that enable you to tackle challenges and tasks in a focused and structured manner.
- Ability to make complex financial models clear and understandable.
- Able to work independently and prioritize time effectively. Requires a high degree of integrity and discretion, while also being able to collaborate easily and establish and maintain trusting relationships with people at different levels, communicating clearly in a manner appropriate to the counterpart.
- The business is constantly changing, which requires a flexible approach, as projects sometimes have to be discontinued at short notice, making it easy to start again after setbacks.
