Interim Search has been commissioned to appoint an interim CTO to a global company with headquarters in Stockholm. The CTO is part of the group management team and reports to the CEO. The CTO provides leadership through service and product development knowledge, including technology and technological trends and advancements. The CTO is accountable for developing, implementing, and delivering the vision and strategy in regards to the company’s technology.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall strategy of Data, Architecture, Development, Infrastructure & Security to continuously advance our solutions.
- Transforming the technology organization as the company's products should be known for its best-in-class solutions and capabilities.
- Researching new technologies, methods, and tools for potential benefits, technology strategies, and ensuring that the company’s technological resources align with their business goals.
- Automation and integration of technology and products, including post-M&A (cross-border) integrations.
- Driving performance, quality, and efficiency in the technology organization through operationally oriented accountable leadership.
To be eligible for the role:
- 15+ years of experience in Technology Development.
- 10+ years of leadership experience in a senior role such as Chief Architect, Chief Technology Officer, VP Development, or similar.
- Experience driving large (>500) development and service operation organizations.
- Familiarity with information systems management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, infrastructure and operations, EA and ITIL frameworks.
- Experience of business ecosystems, Software as a Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, Open Data, Micro services, Event-driven IT, and predictive analytics.
- Expert-level analytical and technical skills.
- Expert-level knowledge of software engineering in general.
- Expert ability to think and work strategically with large software systems.
- Able to work independently and provide leadership across the entire organization.
- Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Highly skilled in communicating technical and non-technical information to any stakeholder.
- Excellent leadership skills, highly organized.
