An interim search has been commissioned to assign a CFO for a fast-growing listed company with headquarters in Gothenburg.
The finance department consists of 15 people. The CFO reports to the CEO and has dotted line reporting to the audit committee of the board of directors.
Most important tasks and responsibilities:
- Support the CEO and business leaders in the general governance and development of the company.
- Advise on strategic business decisions and provide support in prioritizing.
- Be a true business partner to the organization and provide steering tools to easily understand and follow up on financial performance.
- Safeguard qualitative and timely reporting and accounting procedures.
- Lead in capital planning and allocation.
- Be responsible for investor relations activities and agenda, including developing investor confidence in the company's vision and strategy for delivering long-term shareholder value, monitoring and presenting financial trends, and developing a positive reputation by demonstrating consistent and clear communication with all external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and established standards (IFRS)
- Lead and develop the finance team as well as increase the business and financial understanding with key stakeholders and business leaders in the company.
Background and experiences:
- Experience from a position as CFO or similar, preferably at group/consolidated level in a listed environment
- Broad set of experiences including business development, business control, financial reporting/accounting, and the legal aspects of finance
- Background from operations with various business models, including a fast-growing company with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Experience of working in a decentralized structure
- Successful experience from leading and developing finance teams and/or other key stakeholders in business development/financial success as a business partner
- High level of understanding of IFRS revenue recognition for project contracts needed to support commercial organization.
- Experience from operations with project accounting, including percentage of completion methods, and experience from operations with production/distribution is highly meritorious.
- Experience from investor relations work in a listed company (or at least solid experience from working directly with active owners/investors)
- Experience from M&A work, including financing and valuation, is meritorious.
