Interim Search has been entrusted with filling an exciting position as SCM Specialist at a Swedish listed company with international operations in Europe and North America.
As a Global SCM Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, planning, and implementing purchasing strategies. The work is remote, and you can work in Sweden or Europe. The role involves business travel. You will report to the Division Manager for Purchasing & Logistics in Europe and the US.
Main duties:
- Develop and drive the implementation of global category strategies and optimize performance and costs. Support the division's operations, both strategically and tactically.
- Responsible for ensuring that the division is positioned to maximize business opportunities and minimize business risks.
- Project management and implementation.
- Market intelligence and contract negotiations.
- Risk management in the supply chain.
- Regular visits to supplier sites to review, verify capacity, build expertise, and relationships.
- Structure and monitor the price change management process.
- Develop and communicate forecasts regarding price change exposures.
To be eligible for the position:
- You have worked in similar roles in the recent past, for example as a purchasing specialist.
- You have solid experience in supply chain management and extensive experience in manufacturing processes and testing procedures at EMS/PCBA.
- You are skilled in technical printouts and specifications, APQP and PPAP processes.
- You have solid experience with business systems, preferably SAP.
- Lean Six Sigma (L6S) certification is an advantage.
- You have international experience and are fluent in English.
- You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Production/Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
